Mr Snuggles & New Beads...

Ok, I know its been forever, but there is so much to do & so little time to do it in, its been almost two weeks since I came back from my trip to Turkey & the things of have done a lot of are, spend time with hubby,   sleep, be at the studio making beads & getting ready to go on holiday...but the one thing I have done the most is snuggle Mr. Snuggles...the newest member of our family...

You see sadly our beloved Sammy the best hamster ever who came to America with us from England passed away a week before I went to Turkey for my class, he had a stroke at the ripe old age of 3 & died in my hands...we were heartbroken, he had seen us through a lot of good & tough times...needless to say my trip to Turkey & my time there teaching was all overshadowed by the loss of Sammy...he is in hamster heaven now...both hubby & I cried for some time & still do a bit here & there...
However life must go on & so does loving small critters...

Enter Mr. Snuggles...he is a baby Guinea Pig...unlike Sammy, he loves & needs to be held & he is constantly talking...so I guess I am finding out what it may be like to have a baby who needs to be held all the time...I have been looking for a friend for him, I was not able to find another Guinea Pig yet, I am surprised that they did not have him with a friend for sale, as many Guinea Pigs need companions & are sold in pairs...so guess who he is bonded with? he is even jealous of hubby when I pay any attention to him while Mr. Snuggles in on my lap...

In other news, I have new beads, Listed many on my etsy shop, will list more in the coming days...photo below...

Last Friday we had our Monthly Get Together at the Studio check out the photos & the story of the fun had by all....be sure to stop by Grace's etsy shop & check out the much sought after new mashers that Frank has been making, I love love all of them...

On Sunday I had 2 lovely students Wendy & Gloria in my beginning lampworking class, I can tell they are both going to be great bead makers & I am glad to report they are both Glass Addicts already...I have another student Amber coming in on Tuesday...I love my job & getting a chance to meet all these lovely people...

Mel P. wins the yummy vessel from last week...for this week I have a yummy encased dichro background pink flower focal bead...I love the way it came out, its about 20mm long & made in to a pendant with silver I bought in Turkey...enter to win it by making a comment on this post...

I am sure there is more that to talk about like two very good movies we saw this past week, Knight & Day, a great fun movie & Grown Ups, another fun movie...
Thanks for stopping by...life is very good...
Jelveh
Peace

I am so sorry to hear about Sammy Jelveh I hope that he is happily nibbling away on sunflower seed in Hamster heaven. I am sooo delighted that you have a Guinea Pig, he is adorable! When I saw pics of Laura's beautiful I was very tempted and our Son really wants one, however we have a Kitty and I am not sure that the combination would be entirely successful.
Finally WOO-HOO I am sooo happy that I won the beautiful vessel, thank you so much Fabulous Lady, have a super week xxxxx

I think you have fallen in love with Mr. Snuggles. You remind me of my daughter who cares so much for her pet cat.

Hi Jelveh, Mr. Snuggles is so darn cute! I've always enjoyed our Guinea Pigs and how much they talked.

I love the beautiful flower you got in your bead, gorgeous!

Aw - so sorry to hear about Sammy, Jelveh. :(

Mr Snuggles is so very cute! Female guineas love company whether they are sisters or not but guinea boars are different. If you get a couple of brothers they'll be fine but if you mix unrelated boars they do have a tendency to fight.

Mr Snuggles should be fine on his own.

Give him a little cuddle from me!

Hi Jelveh:
I am so sorry about Sammy! It is very hard to lose a pet when you are such an animal lover! Try to think of all the good times you had with him---and all the good times he had with you!
Mr Snuggles is a doll baby! Plus, he sounds very, very spoiled! LOL!
I hope that you can find him a playmate so Martin doesn't have any competition!
Oh, my! Your new give-away bead is scrumptious! Simply wonderful work. I am not surprised though! You are a very talented artist!

Jelveh,

Mr. Snuggles is adorable! Have I got the perfect companion for him. Michael Cerra Jr. I sent you pictures of him. Kristin can't take him to college and is looking for someone to adopt and love him!

Love your beads and how you continue to come up with new and beautiful ideas!

Hope to hear from you soon! ; )

HI Jelvah
Your Guinea Pig is sooooo cute! I used to have two ,the male was Mouf and the female was called Moufette. The Moufette had two babies they were called the moufers. Moufer #1 and Moufer#2. They were all black and white long-haired. Did you know when they are born ,with-in the hour they are eating grain! Their eyes are open and they are already to go. They make quite adorable pets. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoyed mine.
Also your beads are awesome as usual. I really like the colors you use. So have a great evening.
Bye for now

Hello dear Jelveh, I'm so sorry about Sammy and how sad you were to lose him. I'm sure Mr. Snuggles will be loved just as much. Where would we be without the love from our pets. The bead this week is absolutely gorgeous, you just amaze me with your talent. I've had my nephew in from Texas and he has spent quite a bit of time admiring your blog and all of your yummies! And I have enjoyed having him and sharing my passion with him. You are such a movie buff, when do you find time?
Peace and love

Hi Jelveh,

I really hope I am doing this blogspot thing correctly. Mr. Snuggles is so cute. Did you adopt the long haired one too?

Your flower bead is gorgeous. I can't wait to make more beads in a few days. I have been counting down.
