The Mouth of The Well of the Itza....

The Mouth of The Well of the Itza....Better known as Chichen Itza, we went to Cancun Mexico for the holidays, we had one of those awesome all inclusive vacations we had heard about & never thought we would take...it turns out I love laying on a beach reading a book & taking in the sun...The snorkeling in the middle of the ocean was awesome, swimming with the dolphins was amazing and we also went to the ruins of Chichen Itza...

although the ruins themselves & the history of them is pretty cool, the drive to the site & the tour were not the best, I recommend going on your own with a book, you will see more of it that way...below are some photos of our trip...mostly we just relaxed in the sun & ate too much food...2 days before we left I finally went to the DR. after feeling ill for some time, turns out I had Bronchitis & an ear infection of all things...so I was in the sun & on meds, but I still had a great time & got a tan...

I have a new blog post about my Ribbon Beads on Watch Me Create, check out & leave a comment, let me know what you think...

Another gorgeous bead by Jelveh! Since I could not take a vacation this year, I thank you for sharing yours with us! Swimming with dolphins is on my bucket list...lying on a beach sounds divine! Great pictures, too. Happy New Year to you & I look forward to seeing all the beautiful beads you have in store for 2010!

I went to your other blog post - those tornado ribbon beads are absolutely beautiful. I'm glad you had such a great vacation - you look so happy and relaxed. I have been swimming with dolphins before and it was SO FUN! A good start to 2010, I think...

Love that green focal--makes me think of Ireland!

Fantastic bead Jelveh.

I went to Mexico in December and got home on the Monday before Christmas. I too went to C/Itza, beautiful isn't it! We stayed in a resort in Riviera Maya which was all inclusive and totally relaxing!

It has been a long time since I had a vacation, and I seldom travel very far from home. I enjoyed reading about your vacation and seeing your pictures. Today is a cold day in South Carolina, and it makes your pictures look even more inviting.

Gee, I'm sitting here watching it snow like crazy looking at a picture of Jelveh in beautiful warm water with a cute little dolphin and of course a cute hubby at CI. I'm loving that bag you were carrying. I with Ginny on the "Im so lucky". Can't wait to see them and the new yummy focal reminds me of green grass also. I don't think I'll be seeing green grass for a while. We did have a family of deer playing in the snow in our yard this morning, they were adorable. I want summer or at least spring, quickly. Happy New Year everyone!

Good morning Jelveh - - well, it's still early morning here.
Make me something the color of that beautiful sea you're basking near. I love the feet in the foreground. So cute!
We visited Chichen Itza several years ago. I remember after we walked up those inner stairs I had a charlie-horse in my thigh for days because I kept stepping up with the same foot all the way. Funny now, not funny then!
