Mixed Bag of Beads Wednesday...

Hi all, hope you are doing well...we had another fun & busy week around here...on Friday my friend Grace & went to Aanraku glass studio in San Mateo, the first Friday of every month they host an open torch & lunch get together for glass people & many new to lampworking too...it was fun, Grace took the photo while I was making a key bead on the Jelveh Designs Key Mandrel to leave behind for the Beads of Courage project...

On Sat with had lunch with my parents at the El Torito restaurant in Monterey...then on Sun we took our nephew out for his birthday lunch, he wanted Sushi for lunch & wanted to go Bowling by the Santa Cruz Board Walk...we had a great time, I love spending time with the little guy, he is so smart & fun to hang out with...the service at Aqua Blue restaurant was less than good...as a local I should know better to go to Monetery or the Boardwalk area on a hot summer weekend...traffic was crazy & it was so hot...Santa Cruz on the beach on Sunday was 94 degrees...at the end I would not have traded for anything...

On the Bead front: there is a mixed bag of beads for today's update...I had fun making these beads while I was experimenting with some ideas...I have listed a few of the new items so far & the rest will be posted by 5pm California time today...

Last week's yummy bead goes to ikkinlala of Canada, please send me your address...for this week I have a special bead, it s lovely variation on my gourd beads with bubble eyes, the middle of which is encased with a storm inside...just yummy...enter to win it by making a comment on this post...

Thanks for stopping by...Life is good...

Jelveh

Peace

Sounds like a fun week, Jelveh! Thanks for sharing your adventures with all of us. Love this week's bead, it's so refreshingly different! I always get compliments on your peacock focal bead that I used in a double strand necklace. Have a wonderful weekend :)

Hope the fires aren't in your area...N. Calif is such a large space, but it sounds terrible.

The bead is very pretty. Sue

Thanks all, hey Sue, the fires are very close, my parents and sister are closer than us...we are all ok and pretty far compaired to so many others...the smoke is taking over the sky...getting closer...in Monterey today getting ready for a car show of sorts the organizers had to wash the cars from the ash a few times already...sad thing this fire started at the redwood state park...thoes old old trees...I love them...they hope to have it somewhat under control soon...but the winds are high & at 5:45 pm it is over 90 degrees here still...so we shall see...

Thanks
Jelveh

Hi Jelveh,
It's always fun to read about your activities and to live vicariously through you for those of us who can't get around like you do...or have as much talent.

Keep up the FAB work!!!

Hi Jelveh:
My, you have been a busy girl with a good balance between work and fun. However, I bet you consider your work as fun; don't you?
That Mexican Restaurant looks like one I would love. I enjoy Mexican food so very much---love avocados!!!
