New Beads & More...

Ok, I was planning on this big blog post about family & friends this past weekend with photos & all, but somehow between the rain (no sunshine for photos), waking up late & being plain lazy today, I fell behind a few hours in my work day...the sun finally came out a bit, I took the photos & am now listing beads as we speak...So click here to see them in the shop, there will be more as the day goes on & some every other day or so from now on...I listed some a few days back too, to see the sold items in my shop click here, I am approaching 600 items sold on etsy in the past 2 years, which is pretty good considering I was gone half the time moving studios & such...life is good & I am thankful for all the love....

The Winner of this past weeks bead is Sandi from TX...This week's bead is called Amazon Rivers & Lakes...it is a yummy encased round bead...part of the Petite Focal series...lot of detail in about 17x21mm space...to win it please make a comment on this post, for example you can tell me what kind of colors & shapes of beads you are looking for right now...

I am going back to listing the rest of the yummies, thanks for stopping by...life is good...

Jelveh

Peace

Hi Jelveh ~ Don't worry, the sunshine will be back full time soon! Love the new bead & that's a perfect name for it. As for being "lazy," well everyone should have a lazy day every now and then.

I've been on Etsy for just a few months now, and I find that I tend to gravitate towards brightly colored sets of beads that have lots of murrinis, dots and contrasting/happy colors. I especially love your new spring garden sets! Fave colors are turquoise/lime/fuchsia/orange and any combination of those.

have a wonderful week!

Hi Jelveh:
There is nothing wrong with being lazy every once in a while! LOL! I, on the other hand, have been working quite diligently trying to get ready for two upcoming shows.
Your orange set on Etsy is my colors---but you already know that. LOVE it! I have to wait and see how my next two shows go before I buy more.
Gee, almost 600 sales. Way to go, girl! Congrats! I think Martin should make you a really big cake with 600 candles on it! Think you could blow that many candles out?

Kristen----Thanks girl, you will get there I am sure...I only have 600 on etsy, about 3400 other sets and focals sold in the past 8 years on my site and on ebay, I know this because I tried to find photos to up load to flikr.com...

Jo----Thanks so much, yeah I love colorful beads too...they are more fun to make, but I seem to be in a silver glass kick latley with a little of spring thrown in...love your work too...

Ginny girl----you have always been a harder working person than me...wow two shows, good luck, and let me know how it goes...

yup the orange peach ones are your colors...now I am going back to being lazy...thanks for the good words on the 600, as you know its a lot more with ebay and my site sales of the past 8 years, closer to 4000 something...but whos counting...I only found out when I was looking for photos for flickr.com, almost got dizzy thinking of all that glass...makes me want to go make more and keep more, since my inventory is what you see on line and I kept very little of the beads for me...

That bead is just stunning! Can't believe you've had rain - didn't you know you could leave that behind here in England? C x

Hi Jelveh:
Nope, I am not a harder working person than you are. It is just that right now that I am "under the gun" to get jewelry made because of the two shows.
I spend entirely too much time as a couch potato but I prefer to say that I am being a caterpillar. Some how that just sounds better. LOL!

Hi Jelveh,

Congratulations on such a successful Etsy site. It is the quality of the work that sets your's apart.

I'm stuck on yellow this spring. All the shades from the bright happy sunny shades to the deep rich gold shades. Mix them with blue or red/orange and I love them.

ikkinlala----Thanks so much for the kind words...

Mel P.-----I am sure you are doing just fine on etsy...more listings and renewing helps too, but I did bring a whole lot of my clients with me to etsy so that helps too...I should work with some purples teals and yellows this week...mommy and boy flop day sounds fun too...thanks girl...

CeeCee----Thanks so much, I know I got rain but its good we need it here...

Ginny girl----our internet was out all day, so I had to actually get out and do stuff, dont know if you heard of it on the news, but someone cut the fiberoptic lines here and thousands of northen california people, had no phone, no internet, and get this no way to use their ATM cards to spend...what was the point of living??...just kidding life is good, went and got our toes done and paid with a check, remember them?...anyway back on the couch and the net is up and we are happy...

Sue----Thanks so much Sue...you know I have fun...yellow is a huge color this year in all of its shade, folks are wanting me to make more of my spicy yellow and plum beads I made but I am out of the glass, I have to order some...maybe some blue and yellow is in order, maybe even we are due for some Mexcian Fiesta beads this week...life is good, I am thinking bright colors...

acptuser----Thanks girl, I love the rain drops too, one of my favorite and hardest beads to make, you got to keep them all warm enough so they dont break when you lay down the rest of the, and you got to melt them just enough without melting them too much, its a fun game I pay when I make that style of bead...

Hi Jelveh, Yeah on winning the bead....Thanks Martin!!! 600...that is awesome....but 4000..even more awesome!! It is easy to see why you do so well however! I am really into purple this year...but love it combines with turq., lime, fushia...and just about any other bright spring color. Have a set of your "fiesta" beads sitting here trying to get inspired for a special piece of jewelry.
Enjoy your lazy day!
