Where in the World is Jelveh...?

Hi all, still here, just took some time off to take care of other things in life...lets see lots of business to take care of today, so lets get to it...

the winner of the yummy bead from the last post is Lisa of Portland OR. thanks for playing all...

No worries, the bead on the left is this week's giveaway...enter to win it by giving it a name and why you gave it that name, enter here on this blog post in the comment section, one entry per person please...I spend forever coming up with cool names for the beads, sometimes its very easy as the bead speaks to me while I am making it, other times I go back to something I know well, but after almost 8 years and thousands of names later, it gets a bit hard to stay fresh with the names...so name this bead and enter to win it...

I have listed some new beads and I still have 4 more items to list, so keep an eye out in the shop here is the link Jelveh's etsy shop...

In other news, we are going home for the Hanukkah & Christmas Holidays very soon, so another reason I have been really busy getting ready to go back to California...this will not stop me from shipping beads, as I am still here for a while and will have the beads with me, so I can ship from California as well...as far as listing new beads, I will be listing a few here and there...but who knows if that will happen or not, so you have to come by and see for yourself...I will blog however about our trips and all the fun we are having...

Thanks for stopping by...

Jelveh

Peace

Hi Jelveh:
I gave this about two seconds worth of thinking. I would never be able to come up with all of the names you have used over the years. I have four suggestions:
Flowing Dots
Indian Blanket Wrap
Shifting Sands
A Gathering of Dots
Obviously, I am not very good at naming beads! LOL

Hi - I came up with "Amazon river boats" as it kind of reminds me of an aerial view of boats floating on a river in the jungle! This is like a Rorshach(sp?) test!
Best,
Libbie

Hi Jelveh! First of all, I was pleasantly suprised when I checked my mail yesterday and discovered the lovely bead set that I won!!! I hadn't been able to check your blog in awhile and didn't know I had won...Whoo hooooo!!! Thank you!!! They are gorgeous (as always).

So my name idea is Tribal Fever. It reminds me of Africa with zebra stripes and all of the gorgeous colors of the african plains. The blue, the painted face of the ancient natives. Gorgeous bead!
Thanks again, Julie

hi jelveh, it's not a particularly pretty name but the first thing that came to my mind was 'hairy mussle', with barnacles and the strings growing out the sides. they grow on some areas of the pacific coast, on the rocks. they are yummy to eat too! i love the bead. hope all is well with you. kind regards, lisa d., portland, oregon.

Sorry, can't come up with anything... I'm not very creative I guess. It's gorgeous, though.

Gorgeous bead! I'm not sure why, but when I look at this bead I see hot water springs under the torquoise sky. Let's go with "THE SPRINGS OF HOT WATER CANYON" -Lisa

Lisa D. you are too funny, you are right 'hairy mussle' is not exactly what I would call this bead...but i know what you are talking about, when I was young and in Santa Cruz, I used to go to the beach by the clifs and check out the low tide pools...very cool ideas come to mind from these fun trips...I will ship your win bead on Friday...thanks again...

Hi Jelveh:
LOL! You dream about making beads, and I dream about making jewelry with your beads! : )
I did get in three sets of your beads today; gorgeous! I am sure that the others won't be far behind.
I LOVE the African names that have been suggested for the prize bead! Those are certainly colors that one would find in many parts of Africa. It made me think that Serengeti Trails or even Kalahari Dreams would be good names for a set.
BTW, don't count those names as entries because I have already suggested some names albeit feeble ones! LOL

Hey Jelveh Girl!!!

I told you I would leave a comment!!! Let's see, it reminds ME of the the desert! So my name would be Sedona Sunrise....because it looks like sunrise over the red rocks! Ah, to be back there!!!

So good to talk to you today!!!

Cheers! Kate

jelveh Designs said...

hey katie, I like Sedona Desert too, although for some reason most of my bead that I make about the desert have a ton of pink in them, when we were in Arizona the sky and the landscape was always pink or redish pink...I had so much fun talking to you today, I already forgot the name of the Candy you were telling me about...
