You Better Vote & Giveaway...

Hi all, hope you are all doing well & staying happy. Sending some love to my friends on the East Coast. Sorry for the long absence, I have been melting glass and listing beads in my shop, but not sending out emails about it. I have also been really busy getting ready for our 4th Annual Holiday Boutique, once a year Grace, Frank & I, invite all of the local Crafting Artists we know to come by the studio & set up a table with their lovely wears for our Holiday Boutique which is on Sat. Nov 10th from 12 to 6pm at Graceful Customs in Gilroy, California. Let me know if you want to attend as a vendor or need the address. There will be all kinds of handmade goodies on sale from Grace's yummy handmade soaps to Beth's lovely jewelry...there will be refreshments and a drawing for prizes every hour. Also a few of our in house teachers, like Carmen Martinez & myself will be doing some demos.

VOTE: Please get out there and vote on Tuesday, I don't want to go through the same story every time there is an election, about how my family came here from Iran 33 years ago. But I just want to say that VOTING is a Right we Americans have, where many in other parts of the world do not have this Right. I almost feel like we should not only celebrate our country & our rights by voting & staying in charge of our system of government but also in a way honor this right & those who do not have it by making sure we vote.
Giveaway: Last blog posts winner was Roni of Bead by Roni, thanks everyone. For this blog post giveaway I am giving a way one item that the winner likes from my shop. A set or a focal or a tool or any one item of their choice. Please enter to be in the drawing by making a comment on this blog post about: What are your favorite colors & or your plans for your spring collections?

Thanks so much for stopping by, Life is good...
Jelveh
Peace

Hi Jelveh,
Can't wait to see you this coming weekend.
Okay, my favorite color...all of them. I love color. Color is wonderful and fabulous. If its obnoxious I tend to be drawn to it, whether is clothes, hats, etc. of course I'm not saying I'd buy it but I am know to say (especially at the mall), "that's awful, I must have it." So all color is great but lately I have a thing and Amy drawn to raspberry and peachy colors.
No plans for a spring thing. Rig now I'd just be happy figuring out how to get on the torch more than I do.
Love you lots and can't wait to see you and all your goodies.

Hi from the East Coast (grateful that we are not in the storm ravaged area, and sending prayers to those who are)......

I wish I could come to the holiday boutique, it sounds fabulous! As far as colors go, I am a fool for purple, must have purple. But for the next few months I am looking to simplify my style with more neutrals, particularly ivory tones. By the spring I will probably be craving various shades of purple and green though! :)

Amen on the voting Jelveh!! This is a very important election. I alwsys love the blues and raspberry colors, especially in the ribbons. I'm always an equal opportunity color advocate, any color. Spring usually brings out the pastels in me but I'm having a hard time looking past this week though. The new baby is taking up a lot of our time and the two yr old is a busy guy!! Peace and Love to you and your family. I wish I could attend the Holiday Show. What fun that would be.

Hello Jelveh,
Wish I could be there for the Boutique but alas, I am heading back home after my wonderful trip. It was so good to meet you, as well as Grace and Frank. I have had a great trip but guess it is time to get back home and reality. My favorite color is blue and for the spring, I will be doing practice, practice, practice, trying to get better. Thank you again for taking the time to come out to Grace's while I was there. It was one of the highlights of my trip,

Glad to see your back with new beads! I'm definitely voting tomorrow! I love greens (spring, lime, the pretty ones), blues and sometimes pinks. But greens are the all time favorites right now!

I voted early this morning and I was the 57th voter at the poll. It is a privilege to vote.

My favorite color is blue, but I also like many other colors.

I'll this again - it wouldn't let me leave a message yesterday - firstly, I would like to wish all you people Sateside the best of luck with your election. Right now I like the neutral colors like your mocha/bronze set - but come spring I'm sure I will be back in to bright colors again - I'm hoping to branch out into a bit of metalwork soon, but will always have a soft spot for lampwork !!

I wish a wise election day to all my good friends in U.S.
In European political and legal tradition, voting is an obligation, although you are also correct in calling it a right. It was gained with the sacrifices and blood of millions of people throughout the centuries.
For my spring beading palette, I want lots of vibrant colors, they are anti-depressant and gorgeous. I will use lots of african violet, bright yellow, tangerine tango and Caribbean blue. Oh, and luminous green!!
I love your work,
DESPINA
