Yay for Cindy! And did you read "The Hunger Games"? I'm always afraid to watch movies of books I've read.
Hey Lori, I did not read the book, for some reason or another, I have been away from my love of books for a bit...in any case I find this movie is great for a new generation of people that need to see what we (the last generation) has already seen in books and movies such as The Handmaids Tale, 1984 or for that matter Brazil...
I think with age the angst of not trusting the people in charge becomes less of an issue & enjoying oneself & knowing life is good becomes more inviting...with that in mind I enjoyed, John Carter, another book I did not read, but the movie is very fun, it fulfills so many of a persons fantasy needs when it comes to movies. I think a good movie is a like a vacation from your everyday life, to see, hear, learn something new but you must enjoy it too...weather its sad, funny or full of action, it makes you jump for joy or get perspective, a movie has to be a good escape... and in that regard the Hunger Games did not deliver, at least not for me...
but I am hoping i am wrong and you enjoy it...
