Wednesday Beads & Update...

Hi all, lets see last you heard from me I was telling you about Iran & the people's up-rising against their barbarian regime, you have seen the news, what has happened can not be put back, so the people of Iran, in some way or another will get their justice & will get rid of their oppressive government...my family is doing well & they have lots of hope for the future& the good changes that will come...

As for beads I made some yummy ones this week, at least I think so, you can check them out in my etsy shop...also changed photos of last week beads, since obviously they were not good...

This past weekend on Saturday I went to the ISGB NorCal big meeting & bead Bazaar that was held at Arrow Springs...I went with my friend & glass bead maker artist Cindy Allen, who although drives way too fast, is always one of the most fun people to go to these events with...if I had driven we would still be on the way back...

For the first time in 15 months I got to mingle with my buddies, lovely people & glass artists such as Craig, Sharon Peters, Toni Lutman , Lisa Fletcher & Nanettet Marie , just to name a few...the most exciting part for me, besides the $600.00 in glass that I purchased & the fun I had catching up with every one's stories & telling mine, was seeing Kim Osibin & her beads, I am not kidding you when I tell you she is the mother of all silver glass beads, long before nice boutique companies made us Silver laden glass to make yummy beads with, this glass artist was doing it on her own...if you ever get a chance to own a Kim Osibin bead go for it, you will not be disappointed...below is a picture of my friend Cindy on the left & Kim on the right both wearing necklaces of Kim's beads...

you can get a hold of Kim at kimosibin@gmail.com Now to the winner of last week's bead, I kid you not it goes to Ginny from Fl. The girl is just that lucky I tell you...for this week I have the yummy bead I made with 2 new glass colors and some goldstone, it is about 30x25x8mm...enter to win by making a comment on this post...

thanks for stopping by...life is good for many of us...

Hi Jelveh,

Glad your weekend was so much fun. This weeks bead is so nice, maybe I'll get lucky...it must be about my turn for the karma to happen.

The news from Iran has me fascinated. I continue to pray for peace, stablity, and freedom.

Hi Jelveh,

Yes, the Iran situation is so sad, but hopefully the "power of the people" will win out! We are all praying for a positive resolution!

Again, you have outdone yourself on the giveaway bead....what a glorious combination of colors.

How fun it must have been to get "back in the swing" with your beadmaking friends. One thing I am sad about is that I have no one close to talk about and play with beads with. That would be soooo much fun.

Hope you have a wonderful week and weekend!

Hey Sue, thanks for the good words and prayers...I hope you win too, I promise I use the random number picker, that girl Ginny is just very lucky...

Thanks Nancy, yup the show was great, they had food and a ton of booths, I got so many cool things...

Thanks Swati, about my beads and good words about Iran, hope change comes soon and not at a very high pirce...you too can do Lampwork, look up a class near where you live and start making beads...let me know if you any questions...

Thanks Joy...

Hey Sandy, thanks for the good words about Iran, indeed Power to the people and power of the people...yeah I had fun with this bead, the colors are better in person...why dont you look up some beady people around where you live and get involved with their group, there are tons of them, search on the net, I bet you there are some...

Thanks Mel, yup Kim's beads are amazing, and large and awesome, the girl must have strong arms to make these beads on the torch, they must take over an hour each if not more...I could not find her web site, so I listed her email, just email her and ask where you can see more of her work...thanks again...

Hey Ginny girl, used to be when you won I thought maybe hubby is picking her more than others for a promise of chocolate in the mail, but the last 2 times you have won its been the random number picker on line, you are just lucky, what can I say...
Yes I had a great time, a bit sad when I decided to go, it was the best thing to get me in a better mood, got to see my friends, chat about the last year and half and life in general when it comes to glass, I was like a crazed women with the glass...course I still dont have my glass from England here, our stuff still not here, I have 16 boxes of glass that I am still waiting for, so I needed glass...anyway it was fun...I will ship your bead on Friday and thanks again...

OK Ginny enough this Florida girl needs a win. Jelveh I so enjoy your web site. It seems like yesterday you were leaving for England not 15 months. I know you made friends over in England but there is nothing like our BFF friends.I love when people send in pictures of their work. The silver beads are gorgeous. Carolyn Florida
